One time when we were on a vacation in Europe, we left our dog at a pet care facility. Upon our return, we figured that our dog wasn’t in the right condition in terms of health. This made us come up with the idea to build a pet care facility with top-quality service which was lacking in the city, inspired by the kennels that we had seen in different parts of the world, we came up with Dogs World India which is a pet retail store, pet resort and institute for training dogs.
The idea was to welcome pet parents to visit and get their pets to socialize and for the pet parents to understand animal behavior. This passion further led us to have a chain of pet super stores with a facility for pet spas and grooming, day care, pet cafe, and much more.
Raveena urges everyone to think again before getting a pet. “Ask yourself a few hard questions and if you can answer them without faltering, only then bring the pet into your life.” The relationship that Raveena shares with her pets is very heartening and gratifying. According to her, it is all about the unadulterated love, one that does not seek anything in return of love.
"LOVE THEM DONT STRAY THEM"
It is a well known fact that Raveena Tandon-Thadani is an ardent pet lover. Pets are always welcomed in the Thadani house and she often brings in dogs and cats from the streets. Her pet family is huge and growing; a Tom Poy named Angel, a Pomeranian named Cuddles, a cat named Puma and a stray named Chhotu, who is blind. Raveena’s latest fur baby is a Tom Poy which is named Lucifer. Just like his breed, Lucifer is a friendly dog, quite contrary to his name.
fer can be quite a handful as it loves to run about the house and play with his buddies. “He immediately took to our house and other pets”, says Raveena as Lucifer was busy chasing his toys around us. “He’s curious as a cat and as frisky as a terrier, but surely knows how to behave. He is always making us laugh with his mischiefs and naughty nature.
When Raveena comes home after a long day at work, Lucifer welcomes her home with a warm cuddle and a happy bark. “Whenever I come home tired after an exhausting day, he never tries to get me to play. As if he understands that I had a long and tiring day so all he wants to do is cuddle and sit on my lap, Raveena adds. Her pets are a part of her family and she says she is pained whenever she sees a pet abandoned on the streets. “Many people actually do not understand that a pet is just like a child that needs to be looked after with a lot of patience and good care. Most first time pet owners are intimidated by the responsibility and give up quickly”, she rues.

Wet Dogs World India are a team of pet lovers and we are very passionate about our PAWsome pets, Like humans even pets need a little enjoyment in their lives where they can play freely, run around and meet their furry little friends.
“Thane Pet Fest’ is an initiative taken by Dogs World India to create this extra ordinary gathering of all the pet owners along with their buddies. Over the years, we have also seen that our pet fests have contributed in building a larger community of pet lovers and got huge number of pet parents together. This way the pet parents can discuss and share their experiences with each other and belp them to be better with the upbringing of their pets.
We have consistently been working on creating awareness about different aspects that matter to our pets. Hence our event invites nutritionists, doctors, behaviourist, trainers with whom the pet owners could interact and take guidance for the better future of their pets.
We also believe in closely working on the social causes: Eg :
1) The first year we got the petition signed for a Dog park, which got approved by the TMC.
2)Second year we introduced the “Dog Marathon” on a small scale, in which we gave the
reflective collars as return gifts for the stray dogs.
3)Done a number of adoption camps, on spot registrations for pets under TMC.
4)Felicitated people who did their bit as feeders, run NGO’s, etc. 5) We have also contributed to the noble causes considering it to be a part of our duties.
Every year we have been including different activities at our pet fest like: Pawsome pet, Twin walk, Talent hunt, etc. You must definitely come and visit our dedicated sections for the dogs
